We offer opportunities for OR Scrub Technicians as well as OR / PACU Aide/Technician positions. Our facility is staffed by Medical Billing, Scheduling and Reception. Additionally, we offer employment opportunities for PAs and RNFAs. All Ambulatory Surgery Center positions are Monday-Friday, Days, No-Nights, No-Weekends, No-Call.

Job Opportunities with Capital Region Orthopaedics

MRI Front Desk Receptionist

Our Front Desk Receptionists are responsible for all elements of patient customer service. The position involves scheduling patient appointments both in person and over the phone, answering phone calls to the department from both outside and inside callers, working with insurance carriers to pre-authorize MRI studies.  Strong customer service skills and strong organizational skills are required.

Appointments Setter

Our Appointments setters work in a non-stop busy call center.  They are responsible for answering all calls from patients calling our practice to make an appointment. Our appointments setters are responsible for learning our practice management system and for learning our very detailed protocol system for making appointments. Our Appointments staff work with patients and with internal colleagues. Strong customer service skills and attention to detail is required for this position.

Physician Assistant

• Our PAs first assist in surgical cases in our Ambulatory Surgery Center located at the Bone and Joint Center as well as at local hospitals including Albany Medical Center, St. Peter’s Hospital and Memorial Hospital.
• Our PAs also support physicians in our cast room assisting patients with casting, bracing, injections and aspirations.
• Our PAs are not responsible for patient care in the clinic or hospital.

The position is FT days.  No nights, no weekends, no call. Candidates should possess a NY State license.  Our PAs earn a competitive salary, benefits package and CME allotment. Preference will be given to candidates with OR experience.

Materials Leader

We are seeking a candidate who is experienced overseeing the entire materials function of a surgery center. The Materials Leader is responsible for sourcing all equipment needs for our 6 OR facility including regularly used items as well as specialty items. The Materials Leader must interact professionally with physicians, staff and vendors regarding contract details. Must have OR experience such as ORT or RN. Must also be skilled in short/long term planning, using spreadsheets, working in a fast paced surgical environment.
